Legend Films are the owners of eight issued patents related to colorization – including the all-important original digital colorization patents. Our new patented process produces high-definition and film-resolution images in the original theatrical aspect ratio. Never before has there been full-feature colorization achieved at this resolution.

The Legend Films technology produces Photo-Real™ colorization at any resolution using up to 16 bits of gray scale in either standard log or linear formats. Log formats mirror the dynamic range of various film types and 16 bits allows for 64,000 levels of gray for each of 3 channels.

Restoration and Colorization
