ECHOES THAT REMAIN
ECHOES THAT REMAIN is a
poignant study of Jewish
shtetl life before the
Holocaust.
It combines hundreds of rare
archival photographs and
previously unseen film
footage, with live action
sequences shot on location at
the sites of former Jewish
communities in
Czechoslovakia, Hungary,
Poland and Rumania.
Narrated by Martin Landau and Miriam Margolyes.
Produced by Arnold Schwartzman, Richard Trank and Rabbi
Marvin Hier.
Directed by Arnold Schwartzman.
Screened in theatres and film festivals in North and South
America, Europe and Asia.
"Informative, enlightening, but most importantly, it
touches all of us. My parents' shtetl in Eastern Europe
came alive for me on the screen."
- Alan King, producer, director, comedian
